Arriving by flight?

The Augusta area is served by the â€‹ (code AGS), located seven miles outside the city proper. Two major passenger carriers,  and  fly into and out of Augusta Regional Airport. Delta flights connect through the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (code: ATL) in Atlanta, Georgia (GA). Arriving by car?

Augusta sits on Interstate 20 (I-20), which runs east-west, at the Georgia – South Carolina border. Here are the distances (in miles) to major cities near to Augusta:

  • Atlanta: 145 miles via I-20
  • Columbia, S.C.: 75 miles via I-20
  • Charleston, S.C.: 169 miles via I-26
  • Savannah, Ga.: 128 miles via US 321 and 301
  • Charlotte, N.C.: 164 miles via I-77 and I-20

The main hotel for the conference is the . The hotel is about 200 meters away from Georgia Cyber Center, and the shortest walk is on the scenic  that runs along the Savannah River. We have an arrangement with Augusta Marriott and a block of rooms is reserved for Cans 2023 attendees.

If there is no direct flight from a city to Augusta, a good option is to fly to Atlanta and then,

  • Take a shuttle to Augusta from if you are traveling alone.
  • Rent a car if you are more than one person and have a good driver in your group.
